ABOUT ME
My name is Jesper Hooijmans, and I am a level designer with over four years of experience in Unreal Engine and related tools. I’ve worked on and shipped multiple games across platforms like Steam and Itch.io, and I’m always curious and experimenting with new ways to craft meaningful player experiences. Level design is at the heart of my work, and solving design and technical problems is what keeps me sharp and motivated.
Currently based in the Netherlands, I study Game Design at Breda University of Applied Sciences. I’m naturally enthusiastic and social, which reflects both in the way I collaborate with others and in how I approach building gameplay spaces that players want to explore. My background in Application and Media Engineering, followed by a year of Computer Science where I earned my Propedeuse, gives me a strong technical foundation that supports my design work.
Outside of game development, I stay active by playing padel several times a week—mostly for fun and the social side, but I enjoy the occasional tournament as well. I’m also into tech and gadgets, love to travel, and have a soft spot for animals (lemurs in particular). These interests keep me inspired, balanced, and always open to new ideas.
